This weekend we have a great range of events happening on Park Street. Make the most of the school holidays and get down there to enjoy everything from live music to skateboarding workshops and more. The timetable is as follows:
Friday 18th January
2pm and 3pm – The bubble show makes a come back! Pop – Big bubble will be doing two shows at 2 pm and 3 pm, a great one for the whole family.
4pm – 8pm – Summer Night markets – With 10 food stalls and 5 art/craft stalls to browse, everyone will find something they like.
4pm – 8pm – Live performance by David and Christine from NZUMEUS accompanied by drummer Warren.
5pm – 8pm – Wairarapa Roller Derby will be on their skates to entertain the crowd.
Saturday 19th January
9:30am – Parklet is all set up and ready to play.
11am – 12noon – ‘Learn to play Chess’ with Victor for all ages.
11am – 1pm – Free face painting by Larna, perfect for big kids and little kids alike!
12noon – 1pm – Sausage sizzle by MDC staff.
1pm – 2pm – Stencil spray art.
2pm – 3pm – Skateboarding workshop so bring your wheels (there will be some extra boards in case you don’t have access to one).
